What channel is Chiefs vs. Cardinals on today? Time, TV schedule for NFL preseason Week 2 game
ESPN will broadcast an NFL game for the first time during the 2021 season on Friday night. The Chiefs and the Cardinals will square off in an NFL preseason Week 2 matchup that features two of the most dynamic quarterbacks in the NFL.
Of course, neither Patrick Mahomes nor Kyler Murray will play the entire game. It’s still the preseason, after all. That said, Kansas City has confirmed it will play its starters for part of Friday’s game and it seems like Arizona will do the same. So, NFL fans will be treated to at least a few drives with dynamic quarterbacks in action.
This game is loaded with other potential playmakers like Tyreek Hill, Travis Kelce and DeAndre Hopkins. They’ll be the ones to watch regardless of how many snaps they’re on the field.
Arizona’s second-round rookie, Rondale Moore, also figures to see plenty of action. He got five touches during the preseason opener, so it will be interesting to see if the Cardinals continue to make him an important part of their offense.
Below is all the information you’ll need to watch the Chiefs and Cardinals face off the second week of the NFL preseason.

Are the Chiefs playing their starters?
The Chiefs will play their starters for at least part of their game against the Cardinals. Chiefs coach Andy Reid confirmed that Kansas City could play its starters for up to half of the game.
“We’ll go a half, somewhere thereabout, with the starters, and then the twos and threes will take the second half,” Reid said, per ESPN’s Adam Schefter.
It’s unclear if all of the Chiefs’ starters will play the full first half, but it appears that NFL fans and viewers will get a chance to see Patrick Mahomes, Tyreek Hill and Travis Kelce in action — at least in some capacity.
Are the Cardinals playing their starters?
Cardinals coach Kliff Kingsbury was mum on how much the Cardinals would play their starters against the Chiefs. Kingsbury simply said that everyone would have to “tune in” to find out, Bob McManaman of The Arizona Republic reports.
Cardinals coach Kliff Kingsbury wouldn’t disclose how much his regulars would play Friday night against the Chiefs, who plan to play their starts for at least the first half.
Kingsbury said everyone will just have to “tune in” to find out.

Kyler Murray didn’t play in Arizona’s preseason opener, but the team will probably give him at least some action against the Chiefs. However, those hoping to see J.J. Watt in his new digs will be disappointed. He is on the PUP list and almost certainly won’t play during the preseason.
