Barcelona confirm Sergio Aguero ruled out for at least three months due to heart problem
Barcelona have confirmed Sergio Aguero will be unavailable for selection for the next three months after being taken to hospital during Saturday’s 1-1 draw against Alaves. The Argentine suffered difficulty breathing at the end of the first half before being whisked away in an ambulance.
Philippe Coutinho replaced him on the field as he underwent cardiac exams at a local hospital, and now Barcelona have provided an update.
In a statement on Monday evening, Barcelona revealed Aguero would be sidelined over the next three months while receiving treatment.
It read: “Barca player Kun Aguero has been subjected to a diagnostic and therapeutic process by Dr. Josep Brugada.
“He is unavailable for selection and, during the next three months, the effectiveness of treatment will be evaluated in order to determine his recovery process.”
