The Xiaomi 12 series of smartphones will launch today at 7:30 PM (China time) or 5:00 PM (India time) and the event will be live-streamed on various platforms, including Weibo and the company’s official Chinese website.

Xiaomi 12 series price (expected)

The Xiaomi 12 is tipped to launch at a starting price of CNY 3,699, which roughly translates to around Rs 43,700, for the 8GB RAM and 256GB storage variant. The 8GB RAM and 256GB variant is said to be priced at CNY 3,999 (or around Rs 47,200). Lastly, the 12GB variant is tipped to be priced at CNY 4,399 (around Rs 52,000).

The Xiaomi 12 Pro is rumored to start at CNY 4,999 (around Rs 58,800) for the base 8GB variant and might go all the way up to CNY 5,699 (around Rs 67,000) for the top-tier variant.

Lastly, the Xiaomi 12X is rumored to be the most affordable of the lot and will likely be priced less than the vanilla Xiaomi 12.

The Xiaomi 12 is going to be a compact-sized smartphone with a 6.28-inch 2K AMOLED LTPO panel with 120Hz refresh rate and Corning Gorilla Glass Victus support. The Xiaomi 12 Pro, on the other hand, will feature a much larger 6.73-inch 2K display with a 120Hz refresh rate. Both devices will be powered by the latest flagship Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 5G mobile platform.

Coming to the battery life, the vanilla Xiaomi 12 is tipped to feature a 4,500mAh battery with 67W fast charging support, while the Pro variant is said to come with a whopping 120W fast charging support. The Xiaomi 12 Pro is also tipped to sport a 50MP main camera, a 50MP ultra-wide angle camera, and a 50MP telephoto lens with 2x optical zoom.
