Ola S1, Ola S1 Pro electric scooters plagued with issues, several owners unhappy | 91mobiles.com

Ola S1 and Ola S1 Pro issues dishearten owners

The Ola S1 and S1 Pro are freshly baked electric scooters from a company with little experience in building electric vehicles. Delivery units are expected to go through thorough inspection and scrutiny before reaching their new homes, and that seems to be being a big miss from Ola Electric’s end. New owners have already taken to online forums to complain about their new Ola S1 and Ola S1 Pro electric scooters starting from discrepancies in finances, poor pre-delivery inspections (PDI) as well as below-par after-sales services (via MotorBeam).

First up, Twitter user Rahul Prasad has Tweeted regarding a discrepancy in the displayed insurance premium that was paid. Rahul cites that he had paid Rs 7,471 for insurance while the policy documents show that the premium paid was for an amount of Rs 6,695. He also adds that currently, there are no options for buyers to choose their own policies at the time of purchase.

Secondly, a user on Twitter named Karthik Varma reported that his Ola S1 Pro was delivered in Vishakhapatnam with uneven panels gaps, broken body panels with cracks and dents on them. Upon inquiry, the manager assigned promised to get them repaired. The buyer adds that he intended to purchase a new product and not a refurbished product.

Lastly, @ToadTweets on Twitter posted pictures of his top-of-line Ola S1 Pro electric scooter with a broken registration number plate and oil marks scattered across the body panels after the scooter visited the workshop. The scooter post-delivery showed issues after which was towed in to shop for a service and was returned in a dier condition. The scooter also showed 19km of running and no job sheet for the work done at the service centre was provided. Ola Electric has since offered a replacement for the broken number plate.
