Samsung is all set to launch the flagship Samsung Galaxy S22 series today (February 9) at the annual Galaxy Unpacked event. The event will begin at 8:30 PM IST. Just like previous years, the company is rumoured to launch three smartphones in its flagship S series – Samsung Galaxy S22, Galaxy S22 + and Galaxy S22 Ultra. Samsung has been teasing the three devices for weeks now. The launch event will be livestreamed on Samsung’s official website and social media accounts. Samsung Galaxy S22 series rumoured specifications
As per previous reports, the Samsung Galaxy S22 smartphone will feature 6.06-inch dynamic AMOLED display. For context, the Samsung Galaxy S21 comes with a 6.2-inch display. The Samsung Galaxy S22+ is rumoured to have a 6.5-inch dynamic AMOLED display and the Samsung Galaxy S22 Ultra is said to sport LTPO Dynamic AMOLED display with QHD+ resolution. The displays of the smartphones are rumoured to have refresh rate up to 120Hz.
The Galaxy S22 and the Galaxy S22+ are rumoured to feature a triple rear camera setup, with a 50MP primary lens, a 10MP telephoto lens with support for 3x optical zoom and a 12MP ultra wide angle camera. For selfies and video calls, the smartphones are rumoured to sport a 10MP camera at the front as seen on Samsung Galaxy S21 and Samsung Galaxy S21+. The Galaxy S22 Ultra is said to have 108MP + 12MP + 10MP triple camera setup at the back and a 32MP selfie shooter at front.
Samsung is also likely to expand its premium tablet lineup with the launch of Galaxy Tab S8 Ultra. As per an alleged leaked press release, Samsung will launch three new tablet models: Galaxy Tab S8, S8 Plus, and S8 Ultra. The tablet screen sizes are likely to be: 11-inch, 12.4-inch and 14.6-inch respectively. This will be the first Ultra model of Samsung’s tablet lineup.
