Galaxy Watch 4 users will soon be able to try out the One UI Watch beta – Times of India
You must have heard about smartphones getting beta software updates, and Samsung also releases One UI beta for smartphones and tablets. But, in a first, the company has announced the One UI Watch beta programme for its smartwatch, particularly for the Galaxy Watch 4.
The One UI Watch beta programme will initially be limited to South Korea. The Galaxy Watch 4 and Galaxy Watch 4 Classic are two eligible models for the One UI Watch beta updates, which will be released starting June 2, 2022. Moreover, the update is limited to the two standard Galaxy Watch 4 models mentioned above, so if you have some other special edition Galaxy Watch 4, you won’t be able to participate in the beta programme.
As you might expect, the One UI Watch beta programme will give users early access to the upcoming features and software updates and let them try them out before anyone else. There is no word on what new features will be coming with the first beta update.
The Galaxy Watch 4 and Galaxy Watch 4 Classic users in South Korea can register themselves in the beta programme through the Samsung Members app. Once registered, users will be able to download the One UI Watch beta on their Watch 4’s on June 2. Samsung recommends users take a full backup of the data on their watch before installing the beta software update. Further, if a user leaves the beta programme, they won’t be able to rejoin it.
We expect Samsung to expand the One UI Watch beta programme to other countries soon.
