Tesla CEO Elon Musk shares four pictures that tell his ‘Twitter deal to no-deal story’ – Times of India

Tesla CEO Elon Musk has cancelled the $44 billion Twitter buyout deal. In a US Securities and Exchange (SEC) filing last week, Musk’s legal team said that he is terminating the deal because Twitter was in “material breach” of their agreement and had made “false and misleading” statements during negotiations. Responding to Musk’s walking away from the deal, Twitter has said that it is going to sue him for terminating the takeover deal.
The Tesla CEO has shared four pictures that have him laughing and talking about his Twitter deal, and rather now the no deal. The first picture says: “They said I couldn’t buy Twitter”; “Then they wouldn’t disclose Bot info;” says the second; “Now they want to force me to buy Twitter in court,” says the message on the third; “Now the have to disclose Bot info in court,” goes the message on the fourth photo.

Meanwhile Twitter has asked its employees not to talk about Twitter’s deal with Musk. In an internal memo to employees, which appeared on The Verge, the company’s general counsel, Sean Edgett, told employees to “refrain from Tweeting, Slacking, or sharing any commentary about the merger.” “I know this is an uncertain time, and we appreciate your patience and ongoing commitment to the important work we have underway,” says the memo.
As per the website, the notice cites the fact that the merger is an ongoing legal matter.
“The Twitter Board is committed to closing the transaction on the price and terms agreed upon with Musk and plans to pursue legal action to enforce the merger agreement. We are confident we will prevail in the Delaware Court of Chancery,” Edgett said.
