Redmi K50i Dimensity 8100, 67W fast charging launched in India: Price, features and more – Times of India

Redmi K50i is here. Xiaomi has brought back its Redmi K series of smartphones in India with the launch of Redmi K50i. The smartphone sports a full HD+ display and is powered by a MediaTek Dimensity chipset. The smartphone packs a triple rear camera and also supports fast charging.
Price and availability
Xiaomi has launched two variants of Redmi K50i in India — 6GB+128GB and 8GB+256GB priced at Rs 25,999 and Rs 29,999 respectively. At this price point the smartphone will face competition from the recently launched Poco F4 and the Nothing Phone (1).
Customers can purchase the smartphone in Stealth Black, Phantom Blue and Quick Silver colour options. The smartphone will be available online on Amazon.in and Mi.com starting July 23. Buyers can also purchase the smartphone offline from the Mi Home Stores.
As part of the launch offers, ICICI Bank cardholders can get a discount of Rs 3,000. The company is also giving an exchange offer of Rs 8,050 to the Redmi K20 Pro users.
Redmi K50i specifications
Redmi K50i sports a 6.6-inch FullHD+ display with 1080×2460 pixel resolution. The display offers 120Hz refresh rate and comes with Dolby Vision support. The display is protected with a coating of Corning Gorilla Glass 5 on top.
The smartphone is powered by an octa-core MediaTek Dimensity 8100 chipset paired with 6GB/8GB of RAM. The mid-range smartphone comes in two stoarge options — 128GB and 256GB.
Redmi K50i runs Android 12 operating system topped with the company’s own layer of MIUI 13. The 5G-enabled smartphone comes with IP53 rating which makes it water-resistant. Redmi K50i comes equipped with an IR sensor and stereo speakers tuned by Dolby Atmos.
The smartphone features a triple rear camera which comprises 64MP main sensor with f/1.89 aperture, 8MP ultra-wide lens with f/2.2 aperture, 2MP macro camera with f/2.4 aperture. The rear camera is also capable of recording 4k videos. The selfies lovers will get a 16MP front shooter with f/2.45 aperture.
Redmi K50i is backed by a 5080 mAh battery which comes with 67W fast charging support. The company claims that the smartphone can charge up to 50% in 15 minutes and up to 100% in 46 minutes. The Chinese smartphone maker is giving a charger in the box that also has 27W PD support.
