Samsung Galaxy S23 Ultra chipset, battery specifications tipped ahead of 2023 launch

According to the tipster, the Samsung Galaxy S23 Ultra will be powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen2 chipset that is expected to launch later this year in November. It is said to be a 4nm chipset and will include 1 X Cortex-X3, 2 x Cortex-A720, 2 x Cortex-A710, 3 x Cortex-A510, and an Adreno 740 GPU. The SoC will be manufactured by TSMC.

The Samsung Galaxy S23 is said to be powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen2 chipset but the tipster hasn’t mentioned whether there would be an Exynos version. Previous reports suggested there will only be a Qualcomm version worldwide.

Furthermore, the Galaxy S23 Ultra is said to pack a 5000mAh battery similar to the predecessor, the Galaxy S22 Ultra. Considering the Snapdragon 8 Gen2 is said to be made by TSMC, we can expect the battery life should be better than before. It isn’t clear whether the phone will only have 45W fast charging or much higher speeds. Considering brands like Xiaomi, Realme, Vivo, and OPPO are upping their charging solutions, it’s about time that Samsung takes things beyond the 45W.

Earlier reports have claimed the Samsung Galaxy S23 Ultra will have a 40MP front camera with autofocus support but what’s interesting is that the rear camera support will have a 200MP Samsung HP2 main camera, a 12MP ultra-wide-angle lens, and a 10MP telephoto camera with 3x optical zoom, and a 10MP periscope zoom lens with 10x optical zoom support. No other details of the Galaxy S23 Ultra are tipped/rumoured/leaked at the moment but we’ll be on the lookout for more details to surface online.
