Name all of the NES games in the ultimate quiz for retro gamers

If you grew up in the 80s and 90s, there’s a good chance you either owned or played a Nintendo Entertainment System. The NES is one of the most iconic consoles ever made. It’s also home to one of the best gaming libraries ever, and was the birthplace for many classic franchises such as The Legend of Zelda, Metroid and Final Fantasy. If you’re a fan of retro games and think you know all there is to know about the NES, check out the quiz below to test your mettle. Can you match the artwork to the NES correct game?

If you managed to figure out all of the answers without using Google, then congratulations, you really know your classic Nintendo games.

And if this has given you the itch to play some of the games featured in the quiz, then there are plenty of ways to enjoy these classics.

Lots of NES games are available on the Nintendo Switch, especially if you subscribe to Nintendo Switch Online.

Nintendo Switch Online subscribers can play more than 60 NES games as part of their membership.

That’s on top of over 50 Super Nintendo games, and even more N64 and Sega Mega Drive games if you opt for the Expansion Pack tier.

Nintendo Switch Online + Expansion Pack costs £34.99 for a 12-month subscription.

Not only can members play Switch games online against friends and other users, but they can access a growing library of classic games.

This includes Goldeneye 007 for N64, which is joining the service very shortly.

Expansion Pack subscribers can also access all of the new Mario Kart 8 Deluxe Booster Course DLC, as well as Animal Crossing’s Happy Home Paradise expansion.

If you would rather cut costs and save some cash, you can opt for a standard subscription, which costs £19.99 for the year.

The regular tier includes access to SNES and NES games, as well as online multiplayer and cloud storage.
