Honda unveils Honda EM1 e electric scooter: design, features, specifications
The availability of the Honda EM 1 e electric scooter in India is unknown, although the scooter does come with the same batter-swapping technology that is currently being tested in India. Honda is one of the bigger manufacturers which currently does not have an electric vehicle offering in the country, despite India having one of the fastest-growing EV markets. It is likely Honda launches an electric scooter specifically designed for India.

Honda’s EM1 e, which translates to Electric Moped, is aimed at a younger demographic of the audience and is styled accordingly. The e-scooter has a removable battery pack as one of its highlighting features.
Honda’s removable battery pack feature, which the company terms as Honda Mobile Power Pack, could offer added practicality in terms of range. The Honda EM1 e gets over 40km of range on a single charge. A teaser video showed around 59km of estimated range when the scooter is at 92 percent charge. The removable battery pack could come in handy if Honda decides to launch the e-scooter in India. Indian consumers are accustomed to about 90-100km of real-world range.
While not much else has been told about the EM1 e electric scooter, some mechanical specifications have come into the picture. The Honda EM1 e gets a 10-inch rear wheel with a hub-mounted motor. Upfront a larger 12-inch wheel with a disc brake and telescopic fork setup will be available. The e-scooter gets LED lighting and LCD MID on the dashboard.
The scooter is expected to go on sale in Europe in the summer of 2023, and that is when the Honda EM1 e price will be announced. A launch timeline for India has not yet been proposed by the company.
