Fortnite Now Has In-Game The Kid LAROI Radio, Fueling Concert Rumors

Although a The Kid LORAI concert in Fortnite has yet to be confirmed, you can now listen to tunes selected by the Australian rapper on the in-game radio. Further news about Fortnite collaborations with The Kid LORAI will come later this month.

The official Fortnite Account tweeted that you can now tune into LAROI’s Icon Radio Takeover, to listen to some of his favorite tracks. They followed this tweet up with a one that reads “And STAY tuned for more from The Kid LAROI later this month.” A report from Insider Gaming earlier in January claimed that The Kid LAROI would virtually perform in Fortnite on January 24 or 25, after the rumored Dead Space event. While the existence of such a concert has not be directly confirmed, it’s likely that it will soon be announced.

The report also claimed that the concert would be playable for a month after launch, and speculated that players might be able to purchase in-game cosmetics. It would the first concert of the year. Past performers have included Ariana Grande, BTS, and Travis Scott.

In other Fortnite news, developer and publisher Epic Games agreed to pay $520 million in a Fortnite-related FTC case. The FTC claimed that Epic had violated online privacy laws concerning children. $275 million of the total payment was in consumer refunds. The Fortnite Championship Series 2023 was recently revealed and has a $10 million prize pool.
