Elden Ring Gets a Fan-Made GeoGuessr Game Featuring 8000 Locations
Elden Ring features a vast, open world. The difficult game is also very long in length, and players are bound to spend hundreds of hours in FromSoftware’s virtual world. A new fan-made GeoGuessr game will allow Elden Ring veterans to test their knowledge of the game’s world.
For those who don’t know what GeoGuessr is, it is a popular game played on a browser where players are dropped into a random real-world location. The goal of the game is to find out where you are in the world. The Elden Ring version of the game is created by Reddit user, TheEdenChild, and it does the same thing. It drops players into The Lands Between, and players have to guess where they are on the game’s map.
TheEdenChild stated on their Reddit post that they and their friend wanted to create a GeoGuessr-like game for their favourite video games. Elden Ring was high on their list, and they have captures for over 8,000 locations from the game. This is done using hundreds of thousands of raw images. These images were then stitched together to create the 360-degree panoramas that are used in GeoGuessr.
The Elden Ring GeoGuessr game also has various settings to customise your experience. For example, you can choose to be placed in specific areas of the map. There is also support for multiplayer and a leaderboard, which will keep things entertaining. You can check out the game on lostgamer.io.
