WPL 2023 auction: Here’s a full list of players bought, player’s retained and salary purses

India’s Smriti Madhana set the record for the highest salary, with Royal Challengers Bangalore paying a hefty INR 3.4 crore to sign her on. The second highest salary (INR 3.2 crore) was paid by two teams. The Gujarat Giants, paid INR 3.2 crores for Australian Ashleigh Gardner, while the Mumbai Indians, paid INR 3.2 crore for English Nat Sciver-Brunt.

The Indian team’s captain, Harmanpreet Kaur, signed with the Mumbai Indians for INR 1.80 crore, while Deepti Sharma signed with the UP Warriorz for INR 2.60 crore. Shafali Verma was also compensated with INR 2 crore by Delhi Capitals. The same organisation paid Jemimah Rodrigues INR 2.2 crore.
