Just a couple of days after the interview went live, a new report suggests that the Nothing Phone (2) will carry the model number “A065”. As per the report, the Ear (2)’s design may remain unchanged from Ear (1) except for a few minor tweaks and alterations. The earphones along with the case may follow the same transparent design language with the presence of red and white dots in certain places. In an exclusive report by 91mobiles, Nothing is working behind the scenes on a sub-brand called Particles by XO. The offshoot brand is said to prioritise the US market and could soon debut by launching an unconventionally designed TWS earphone. However, at this point in time, it is unclear whether the brand’s name is ‘Particles by XO’ or simply XO, while Particles is the name of the audio product. Coming to the design of the truly wireless earbuds, the leaked images reveal peanut-shaped earbuds with an L-shaped form factor while the charging case is completely circular in shape with no transparent aesthetics like previous Nothing products such as the Ear (1) or Phone (1).
The report also reveals that the earbuds are codenamed ‘B154’ and will include features like LHDC (Low Latency High-Definition Audio Codec) and ANC (Active Noise Cancellation).
