One of the most prominent gaming additions that has caught the attention of many games is the “Pause USB Power Delivery” feature. Once this feature is enabled, it allows the charging to bypass the battery and power the processor directly. In normal circumstances, the power passes through the battery and then goes to the processor.
By pausing the power delivery to battery, the player is not only getting an improved level of thermal control, but better performance too. Moreover, players are also able to preserve their battery health for a longer time, as this feature does not impact the battery charge cycle of the device.
What’s interesting is that Samsung is sharing these features with other older smartphones and not just their flagship devices. A report by SamMobile states that Galaxy S22 series users can use this feature after updating the Game Booster application. In some regions, the feature has been spotted on devices such as Galaxy Z Fold 2, Galaxy Z Fold 3, and Galaxy Z Fold 4.
There are some prerequisites to using this feature, though. Firstly, the user’s Game Booster app needs to be updated to version 5.0.03.0. On top of that, the Pause USB Power Delivery feature only works with Samsung’s 45W charger for some users. In the end, this feature will help many users of the older smartphones preserve their battery life and also get better performance when gaming.
