Venom: Tom Hardy Shares Deleted Scene as Third Movie Starts Pre-Production

Alongside confirming Venom 3 is officially in pre-production, Tom Hardy has shared a deleted scene (which you can watch here) of the first Venom film featuring another internal struggle between Eddie Brock and the symbiote.

Hardy shared the scene on Instagram, and while it’s always great to see Brock and the Venom symbiote argue, this particular clip outside a hospital is a treat as it shows off Hardy’s acting skills without any movie magic as these two consciousnesses are fighting for control.

We still don’t know much of anything about Venom 3, but it has been confirmed that Kelly Marcel, the screenplay writer for the first two Venom films, will be stepping into the director role. Marcel will be the third director for the series of three films, following Ruben Fleischer and Andy Serkis.

Back in June 2022, Hardy seemed to confirm that the script for Venom 3 was complete. While the actor took to Instagram to share the announcement, he didn’t reveal anything further about the project.

Venom 3 has the potential to have big implications for not just the film franchise, but also the MCU as we finally got the tease of Spider-Man and Venom’s worlds colliding in Venom: Let There Be Carnage and Spider-Man: No Way Home. There were things that hinted these universes will still be separate, but anything is possible!

In our review of 2021’s Venom: Let There Be Carnage, we said it “improves on everything from the first movie, leaning into its own absurdity. While it plays it a little safe, it still points the series in an exciting direction.”
