E3 2023: Konami May Finally Unveil Metal Gear Solid 3 Remake, and a New Castlevania Title at the Game Showcase Event

E3 2023 is just a few months away, and the first bit of rumours about the companies taking part in the event have began trickling.

Over the week, it was confirmed that French giants Ubisoft will have a huge presence at E3, which makes its return as an in-person event since 2019. Now, news about Konami’s plans for the event have surfaced online, thanks to the VGC Podcast.

In a recent episode of the podcast, the hosts Jordan Middler, Andy Robinson and Pete Donaldson talked about Konami’s rumoured plans, which revolve around the Metal Gear Solid and the Castlevania franchise.

The reports suggest that Konami will have a major press booth in Los Angeles. Along with that, the popular Japanese publishers will showcase a new Castlevania title. This comes months after the announcement of the Dead Cells Castlevania DLC, which was debuted at The Game Awards 2023.

Plus, Konami might return to the Metal Gear Solid hype train, with the unveiling of Metal Gear Solid 3: Snake Eater remake, which has been rumored to be in the works for months. At the same time, the hosts are unclear about the future of older Metal Gear Solid games that fans have craved to see as remakes.

With rumors about the publishers being unsure about the approach needed to take on the remake of these titles, it’s been suggested that MGS 3 remake will most likely be an opportunity to gauge the reactions of fans towards the remakes of these games.
