The company said that the OnePlus 11 Jupiter Rock limited edition looks “similar to the surface of Jupiter.” This smartphone is the first to use a volumetric microcrystalline rock material; the texture of the three-dimensional material varies naturally, eradicating repetition and monotony and displaying a distinct elegance everywhere. As per the company, this is an “unprecedented material crossover” in the industry.

The company said it took over a year to research and develop the back panel, and the material has to go through 9 complicated steps before it can be used on the back of a OnePlus 11 smartphone. The company said making the panels is so hard that they are only 25 per cent efficient, while the green glass panels are 50 per cent efficient.

The OnePlus 11 5G Jupiter Rock limited edition has been launched in China in a single storage variant, 16GB+512GB, priced at CNY 4,899 (approx. Rs 58,560). However, there is no word on how much it might be priced in India.

In terms of specifications, the limited edition smartphone shares similar specifications to the OnePlus 11 5G, which was launched recently in the country. It comes with a 6.7-inch LTPO 3.0 AMOLED display with QHD+ resolution and a 120Hz refresh rate, HDR10+, Dolby Vision, up to 1300nits peak brightness, and a punch-hole cutout on the front.

Like the OnePlus 11 5G, the limited edition smartphone has a Hasselblad-equipped triple rear camera setup with a 50MP Sony IMX890 lens with OIS, a 48MP Sony IMX581 ultra-wide-angle sensor, and a 32MP Sony IMX709 RGBW 2x telephoto sensor. For selfies and video chats, the smartphone has a 16MP selfie camera.

The smartphone is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen2 4nm Mobile Platform with Adreno 740 GPU paired with up to 16GB of RAM and 256GB of internal storage. It comes with Android 13-based OxygenOS and houses a 5,000mAh battery with 100W fast charging support.
