Phones launching this week in India: Vivo T2 series, Realme Narzo N55, ASUS ROG Phone 7, and more
Several smartphone brands are going to launch their new smartphones in India this week. If you are waiting for a new smartphone to launch and are interested in buying one, this week is going to be a fairly interesting one for you, as plenty of devices, ranging from mid-range phones, all the way up to the flagship territory are launching this week.
We have a dedicated gaming phone in store, a cost-effective foldable smartphone, and a new mid-range series coming up from the house of Realme’s Narzo. Let’s take a look at all the smartphone launches that are going to take place this week.
Tecno Phantom V Fold: April 11th
Starting the list with a foldable smartphone, we have the upcoming Tecno Phantom V Fold smartphone, which will launch in the country on April 11th. The Tecno Phantom V Fold has already made its global debut, and is all set to launch in India now.
Tecno Phantom V Fold has a 6.42-inch FHD+ LTPO external AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate. The internal screen is a large 7.65-inch 2K LTPO AMOLED panel with a 120Hz refresh rate. The device has a 50MP + 50MP + 13MP triple rear camera setup, a 32MP selfie camera placed on the external display, and a 16MP selfie camera placed on the internal display. Powering the Tecno Phantom V Fold is an octa-core MediaTek Dimensity 9000+ processor, which is coupled with 12GB RAM and 256GB internal storage. Lastly, the Tecno Phantom V Fold runs Android 13 out of the box.
The Tecno Phantom V Fold will be up for grabs in India at an introductory pricing of Rs 77,777 via Amazon, making it the cheapest foldable smartphone (horizontally folding) to launch in India. Do note that we are taking into consideration the launch price here, but even with all the offers in the world, the existing foldable smartphones in India are anyway more expensive when compared to this one.
Vivo T2, Vivo T2x: April 11th
The Vivo T2 series of smartphones will launch in India on April 11th. The lineup will include the vanilla Vivo T2 and the Vivo T2x smartphones. Both devices will be sold in India via Flipkart. The landing page for the devices has already been made live on Flipkart, which has revealed the rear design of both Vivo T2 and Vivo T2x. The promotional posters suggest that the Vivo T2 series will be a 5G series, so we expect both devices to come with 5G capabilities.
Vivo T2
The Vivo T2 is rumoured to feature a FHD+ AMOLED display with a 1300 nits peak brightness. The device will likely be powered by an octa-core Snapdragon 695 processor, which could be coupled with 6GB/8GB RAM and 128GB internal memory. In terms of software, we can expect the Vivo T2 to run on the latest Android 13-based FunTouchOS 13 skin out of the box. The device will feature a 64MP main camera with support for OIS.
Vivo T2x
Coming to the Vivo T2x, the device will reportedly be powered by a MediaTek Dimensity 700 processor, which could potentially make it the cheapest 5G phone in the segment. The device is said to feature up to 8GB RAM and up to 128GB storage and might come with a FHD+ panel.
Realme Narzo N55: April 12th
Realme will launch a new Narzo-branded smartphone, dubbed the Realme Narzo N55 in India on April 12th. The device will sell in the country via Amazon India and will feature 33W fast charging support, a punch-hole selfie camera, a USB Type-C charging port, and a 3.5mm headphone jack. The device will also flaunt the new Mini Capsule feature, which the brand debuted with its Realme C55 smartphone a little while ago.
The Realme Narzo N55 is likely to launch in Prime Black and Prime Blue colour options. The Prime Blue variant of the device has officially been teased by the brand in the past. Moving on, the Realme Narzo N55 is said to feature a 5,000mAh battery. The device, as per previous reports, will feature up to 6GB RAM and up to 128GB storage. Lastly, we can expect the Realme Narzo N55 to boot Android 13-based Realme UI 4.0 skin out of the box.
ASUS ROG Phone 7: April 13th
Last on the list is the flagship gamer-centric ASUS ROG Phone 7 (series). While we are not sure as to how many smartphones the ASUS ROG Phone 7 series will consist of, at least the vanilla ASUS ROG Phone 7 is set to launch in India and in the global markets on April 13th. The ASUS ROG Phone 7 will sell in India via Flipkart.
Coming to the specifications of the device, the ASUS ROG Phone 7 is expected to sport a 6.78-inch FHD+ AMOLED panel with a 144Hz refresh rate. Powering the device will be the flagship Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 processor, which could be coupled with up to 16GB RAM and up to 512GB storage. Speaking of the software, the ASUS ROG Phone 7 is said to boot the latest Android 13 OS out of the box. Moving on to the cameras, the ASUS ROG Phone 7 will likely house a 50MP + 13MP + 5MP triple rear camera setup and a 32MP front camera. As far as battery is concerned, the device is tipped to feature a large 6,000mAh battery with support for 80W fast charging over a USB Type-C charging port.
