Oshi no Ko’s Opening Song Is on Top of Billboard Japan Hot 100 Chart
Oshi no Ko is not only number one show on the top anime chart on MyAnimeList, but also dominating on the music charts.
Billboard Japan recently released its latest Hot 100 Chart, and Oshi no Ko’s opening theme song, Idol by Yoasobi, is at the top. The song is also present on the Streaming Songs and Hot Animation charts. Vocaloid producer Ayase, who is part of the Japanese superduo, is on the Hot 100 Composers and Hot 100 Lyricists charts.
Other than Japan, Idol has also made its way to Spotify Top 50 and Apple Music Daily Top 100 charts in many countries around the world.
“We are grateful that this song is being listened to not only in Japan but in many countries!” Yoasobi reacted to the news on Twitter. “Thank you ⚡️Let’s continue to surprise the world with this song that packs Japanese culture such as anime and idols into one ????”

The music video for the song has been a hit on YouTube too, and already has 27 million views since it was released on April 12.
