Games Done Quick has been consistently supporting Doctors Without Borders for the past few years with its events, and all donations are to go to the organization this time as well. Some of their most notable contributions in the recent times have been during the Russian invasion of Ukraine, and 2023’s earthquake in Turkey. Summer Games Done Quick 2023, the latest event from GDQ went live on 28th May, Sunday, on their Twitch channel. Each day features an array of speedrunning marathons on different games “from every generation of gaming history”. Games included in this edition include titles like Sonic Frontiers, The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild, Pokemon: Scarlet and Violet, Hearthstone: Knights Of The Frozen Throne Expansion, to name a few. Gamers and volunteers who have applied for the event will get to showcase their skills and share some of their trusted hacks to speedrun on a game.
