Airtel announces a new affordable data plan with 6GB data: Price, benefits and more – Times of India
Countering Vodafone-Idea’s recently launched two new data voucher plans, Airtel has also announced its Rs 49 data voucher. The prepaid data voucher, as the name implies, comes with additional data benefits. TelecomTalk has reported that the new Rs 49 plan is not a base plan and users will require a base plan to be able to take advantage of the newly announced data plan. Here’s what the plan offers:

The Rs 49 data voucher from Airtel comes with 1 day validity only. But, it offers 6GB of data. The plan does not include any other benefit considering it’s an add-on data pack that’s supposed to be recharged by users to get additional data benefits.
That’s exactly what the plan is offering. However, 6GB is a lot of data to spend in just one day. On the other hand, some users may be happy with this plan as it offers bulk data in one go and can come in handy when on the go or in case Wi-Fi is not available.

Meanwhile, Vodafone Idea has also introduced two new prepaid data vouchers for its customers. And, unlike Airtel, Vodafone Idea is offering its users unlimited data benefits at night between 12 am to 6am. The plans are priced at Rs 17 and Rs 57 respectively. The Rs 17 plan comes with 1 day validity and offers unlimited night data. The Rs 57 plan, on the other hand, offers 1 week validity with unlimited night data. Both the plans do not offer any other benefits.
Now that two of the major telecom service providers have announced their affordable data vouchers, we also expect Reliance Jio to become a part of it soon.
