Major League Cricket: Seattle Orcas beat Texas Super Kings by 9 wickets to reach final | Cricket News – Times of India

NEW DELHI: Quinton de Kock hit an unbeaten 88 as Seattle Orcas beat Texas Super Kings by 9 wickets to become the first team to reach the final of the inaugural Major League Cricket at the Grand Prairie Stadium in Dallas on Thursday.

AS IT HAPPENED
Batting first after winning the toss, the Texas Super Kings innings never got going as they kept losing wickets at regular intervals.

Andrew Tye took 3 wickets and Imad Wasim‘s double blow at the start prevented the Texas Super Kings from getting off to a good start.
Daniel Sams top scored for the Texas Super Kings with an unbeaten 25-ball 26 but he hardly got any support from the others as they were restricted to 126/9.
Seattle Orcas raced to the 127-run target riding on Quinton de Kock’s unbeaten 88 that was powered by 4 sixes and 10 fours and came off just 50 balls.

Though Seattle Orcas lost opener Nauman Anwar in the second over, an unbeaten 117-run stand between Quinton de Kock and Shehan Jayasuriya for the second wicket took the team safely through to the final.
