A Plague Tale Requiem gets a launch date – Times of India

A Plague Tale Requiem, the sequel to acclaimed game A Plague Tale Innocence, has got a confirmed launch date. Developer Asobo Studio and publisher Focus Entertainment have set the launch date to October 18.
A Plague Tale: Requiem is an upcoming action-adventure survival game playable in the third person perspective, just like its predecessor A Plague Tale: Innocence. The game is a continuation of the first game’s storyline, with Amicia and her kid brother Hugo once again getting swept in an adventure, this time in the south. But their troubles are far from over as there is another plague coming.
The game will allow players to “embark on a heartrending journey into a brutal, breathtaking world twisted by supernatural forces.”, as per the developers.
A Plague Tale Requiem is expected to be more action-oriented than its predecessor, with new characters joining in the game universe. You will have “variety of tools” at your disposal and you can “sneak, fight, or unleash hell and rats.” You’ll also have “unearthly powers” at your command. Overall, the game is trying to bring new elements to the original story and hence, should have something for Innocence players and new players alike.
The developers also released an extended 10-minute gameplay trailer. Take a look.
