A Vicious Circle Returns In Visually Stunning New Preview
A Vicious Circle #1 was definitely one of the strongest debut comics of 2022, hence why the series recently picked up a pair of Eisner nominations. Now writer Mattson Tomlin and artist Lee Bermejo are back for Round 2, and the results are as visually stunning as before.
IGN can exclusively debut a new preview of A Vicious Circle #2, featuring more of Bermejo’s gorgeous and stylistically varied artwork. Get a closer look in the slideshow gallery below:
For those who aren’t familiar with the series, A Vicious Circle focuses on Shawn Thacker, a futuristic assassin in pursuit of his rival Ferris. Both men are cursed with a unique ability – whenever they take a life, they immediately travel backward or forward through time. Each new era is rendered by Bermejo in a unique artistic style. The series traces their rivalry as Thacker fights to destroy a device that could alter human history, while Ferris seeks to activate it.
Here’s Boom’s official description for issue #2:
Filled cover to cover with some of the most groundbreaking art in present day comics, the second installment of this enthralling series sees Thacker and Ferris jump from 2090 Copenhagen to 1938 Nazi Germany.
As the story leaps backward toward the stunning finale, will bitter enemies remain just that, or is there more to their murderous and time-transcending relationship?
The hotly-anticipated second act of the time-traveling modern masterpiece by artist Lee Bermejo (Batman: Damned) and writer Mattson Tomlin (The Batman: Part II), perfect for fans of BRZRKR and Time Before Time, will leave fans breathless!
A Vicious Circle #2 will be released on Wednesday, July 19. Be sure to check back with IGN soon for a new interview with Tomlin and Bermejo.
