Ahsoka is an upcoming show from the world of Star Wars. The show’s creator Dave Filoni has now confirmed that the coming live-action series should be considered as Star Wars Rebels Season 5. Rosario Dawson, who plays Ahsoka Tano on the show, revealed that the director of the show considers his creation as the fifth season of Star Wars Rebels.
Ahsoka is Star Wars Rebels Season 5
At its centre, the show’s protagonist is the titular character Ahsoka Tano who hails from the Star Wars Rebels animated series. The animated series was created by Filoni and so was the character of Ahsoka among others. The Star Wars Rebels season 4 ended back in 2014 but now, it seems like the story will continue in live-action form.
Ahsoka star Rosario Dawson recently had an interview with Total Film (via Screen Rant) where she discussed how the upcoming show ties up with what has already been created by Filoni through Star Wars Rebels.
She said, “It’s hard sometimes to tell with the things you read online whether that’s actual fact or just some fan fiction. But I’m pretty sure Dave said that this is basically like the fifth season of Rebels. So it felt nice to feel that sort of continuation with these people she’s got such a rich history with. You can see that with her mission that she has, going after Thrawn, and believing that he’s still alive, and holding Ezra in her heart because they have a really beautiful, long history as well.”
