Ahsoka Star Lars Mikkelsen Comments on His Character, Calls Grand Admiral Thrawn Smooth as an Eel

The Star Wars franchise’s latest Disney+ Hotstar drop is the show Ahsoka. It is based on the story of the former Jedi Padawan to Anakin Skywalker, Ahsoka Tano, who was first introduced in the 2008 animated movie Star Wars: Clone Wars. In the latest news, actor Lars Mikkelsen, who portrays Thrawn in the franchise, talked about what he likes about his character.

The video is from an older prerecording of Mikkelsen, that was shared shortly after Thrawn made his live-action debut with Episode 6 of Ahsoka ‘Far, Far Away’ on September 20. The seventh episode of Ahsoka aired on Wednesday, September 27, taking forward Thrawn’s story as well amongst other things.

Mikkelsen describes Grand Admiral Thrawn as someone who makes things happen. He said “He is so smooth, he’s like an eel. He’s always seven paces ahead of you.” Mikkelsen acknowledged that while Thrawn does not “have the Force, and the dark Force is not really part of him.” However, the fact that he can connect with the dark forces and manipulate them to suit his own needs is what makes him so dangerous, according to Mikkelsen.

Ahsoka is currently streaming on Disney+ Hotstar starring Rosario Dawson, Natasha Liu Bordizzo, Mary Elizabeth Winstead, Ray Stevenson, Ivanna Sakhno, David Tennant, and Lars Mikkelsen amongst others. The finale episode will go live on October 4.
