AirPods Max (2nd Generation) Could Launch With USB-C Port And Bluetooth v5.3 – Smartprix
Apple’s AirPods lineup currently consists of four models, including the AirPods (2nd Generation), AirPods (3rd Generation), AirPods Pro (2nd Generation), and AirPods Max. However, the lineup is due for a major overhaul that could roll out next year. As part of the overhaul, Apple could also upgrade its AirPods Max headset, which lacks a couple of key features.
AirPods Max (2nd Generation) Could Feature A USB-C Port
The AirPods Max still includes a Lightning Port, which could be the first thing to change next year. The AirPods Max (2nd Generation) could feature a USB-C port, like Apple’s latest offerings, such as the iPhone 15 series, AirPods Pro (2nd Generation), and the latest iPads. The device should ship with a USB-C to USB-C port.
Better Bluetooth Connectivity And New Color Options
Apple’s latest products, such as the Apple Watch Series 9, Watch Ultra 2, AirPods Pro (2nd Generation), and the iPhone 15 series, all come with Bluetooth v5.3, which provides better connectivity and a stable connection. Since the current generation of AirPods Max is behind, the upcoming version should catch up.
Last but not least, the AirPods Max (2nd Generation) could ship in fresh colors. However, there’s no word on what these colors could be. Currently, the wireless headphones are available in Pink, Sky Blue, Silver, Green, and Space Gray color options. Like the iPhone 15 series, we might see the AirPods Max in slightly lighter shades of the current colors. While these predictions come with Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman, a couple of other things should make their way to the upcoming headset.
Other AirPods Max Improvements That Experts Expect
Per a report by MacRumors, Apple might include the H2 chip on the upcoming AirPods Max. The processor offers better sound quality and noise cancelation. Further, it’s also more efficient and, hence, improves the battery life. With the iPhone 15, Apple released the second generation of its Ultra Wideband chip, which allows for better Precision Finding. Last but not least, the headsets could come with a new Smart Case.
