Airtel: Airtel rolls out ‘Unlimited data’ offer for its 5G customers: Here’s how to avail the offer – Times of India

Airtel is busy expanding its 5G services in the country. The company has already covered 270 Indian cities with its Airtel 5G Plus service. The telecom operator has now announced the launch of unlimited 5G data for its customers.
“Customers will now be able to experience ultrafast, reliable and secure 5G Plus services without having to worry about data exhaustion as the company removes the capping on data usage across all existing plans,” said Airtel.
The service provider has announced that all the postpaid users and the prepaid subscribers with data plan of Rs 239 and above will be able to avail the offer. The Airtel 5G Plus service is available to customers in over 270 cities in the country. All they will need is:
– A 5G compatible device
– Being in a 5G network area
The Airtel users just have to log on to the Airtel Thanks app to claim the offer.
Commenting on the launch, Shashwat Sharma, Director Consumer Business, Bharti Airtel said, “We are obsessed with delighting our customers with best-in-class products and services. This introductory offer is in line with the philosophy of wanting our customers to be able to surf, stream, chat and enjoy multiple benefits at blazing speeds without having to worry about data limits. We hope our customers enjoy the power of world-class Airtel 5G Plus.”
Airtel extends base prepaid plans rate hike
Recently, it was reported that Airtel has extended the increase in base prepaid rates nationally across all 22 circles. Late last year, the company had increased base rates of its prepaid plans by as much as 57%. The move is a clear bid to improve its ARPU beyond the Rs 200 level said the report quoting a top company executive. The ARPU is a key performance metric for telcos.
Post the price hike, Airtel’s minimum monthly recharge plan in all 22 circles for prepaid users starts at Rs 155.
