Amazon’s annual Prime Day sale kickstarts tomorrow and promises thousands of discounts on popular gadgets, fashion, fragrances, kitchenware, Smart TVs, homeware, fitness, and household essentials. If you’re looking to treat yourself, outside of Black Friday, the Prime Day sale might be your best chance at securing a bargain.
How do you access the best Prime Day deals?
Unlike the Boxing Day or Black Friday sales, Amazon doesn’t open up its Prime Day bargains to just anyone. As the name suggests, Prime Day is only available to Amazon Prime members, so you’ll need to be signed up for the scheme to get access to any of the discounts. Check your account to see whether your existing Prime membership is still running, or whether you’re eligible for a Prime free trial, before midnight tonight to start shopping in the sale first thing tomorrow.
Ahead of Prime Day, which starts at 12.01am on July 11, Amazon has started to discount a few items.
The Seattle-based retailer has slashed prices on a number of its most popular subscription services, like Music Unlimited (perfect for those who want to ditch their Spotify subscription) and Kindle Unlimited, which offers access to millions of books for Kindle owners à la Netflix. It’s also selling its custom-designed Smart TVs at their lowest ever prices.
We’ve rounded up all of the best early Prime Day deals in our comprehensive guide.
Of course, Prime membership isn’t just about accessing the latest price drops from Amazon. The subscription service, which is available as an annual plan or a rolling monthly contract, offers next-day delivery on thousands of items sold on Amazon at no extra cost, access to exclusive boxsets and films on Prime Video, music streaming from Music Unlimited, and unlimited cloud storage to backup the photos on your phone, to name just a few perks.
Announcing the latest Prime Day sale, John Boumphrey, UK Country Manager of Amazon, said: “The countdown for Prime Day starts now, and we have an incredible selection of deals to come.
“We work really hard to deliver great products at the best prices for customers during Prime Day and throughout the year, from the biggest brands to the 100,000 small British businesses that are available on Amazon. There is a lot to be excited about and a lot of value to find, with a few fun surprises and experiences to help you feel like a big deal along the way.”
Express.co.uk will be trawling through every promotion and price cut to bring you a comprehensive list of the best Prime Day deals throughout the two-day online baragin-a-thon. Watch this space if you fancy picking up some decent discounts.
