Android 13 QPR2 beta 3 rolls out for Google Pixels – Times of India

Last month, Google seeded the second beta of Android 13 QPR2 (Quarterly Platform Release 2). Now, Android-maker has released the third beta build of Android 13 QPR2 for eligible Pixel phones with more bug fixes ahead of the stable release slated to come in the coming weeks.
The Quarterly Platform Release beta update of Android lets Pixel users try out the upcoming features before they come out for everyone. The stable build for Android 13 QPR2 is slated to release in March.
Android 13 QPR2 beta 3: What’s new
With the QPR2 beta 3, Google has also rolled out the January security update for eligible Pixel smartphones.
Google has addressed various issues in the latest QPR2 beta update, including the correction of group notifications that were displayed with straight corners instead of the round edges of the Android 13 theme.
Other fixes include the VPN connection indicator issue, access to the overflow menu in the Quick Settings tile, active background app notifications showing correctly, and support for extended vibrations when receiving notifications.
The QPR2 beta 3 update also fixes the issue of messaging apps crashing. Further, apps unable to use certain visual effects because of an issue with the graphics processing unit have also been fixed. There was an issue with the Pixel launcher that prevented the use of pattern lock with Google Assistant-enabled has also been fixed.
The Android 13 QPR2 beta 3 will be available for eligible Pixel devices later than Pixel 4a, including Pixel 4a, Pixel 4a 5G, Pixel 5, Pixel 5a, Pixel 6, Pixel 6 Pro, Pixel 6a, Pixel 7 and Pixel 7 Pro.
Do note that installing the Quarterly Platform Release beta updates will wipe all the data stored on your smartphone. Also, leaving the beta program will result in the loss of all the data, and you can only leave the beta program without losing data when the stable build arrives in March.
