Android users can get a free 4K TV by making one simple change

If you’re looking for a new 4K TV and don’t mind switching your phone you can kill two birds with one stone by heading to O2. The UK mobile network is currently giving away a 43inch 4K TV entirely for free with Xiaomi’s new 12T Pro 5G handset. This Android smartphone only launched in the UK last week priced at £699 and is Xiaomi’s first-ever phone to feature a whopping 200MP sensor on the rear camera.

If you want to get this impressive Android handset from O2 then you have until Wednesday, November 2 to get a free 43inch 4K TV thrown in as well.

This telly is also made by Xiaomi and has Amazon’s Fire TV experience built-in for easy access to a swathe of streaming platforms including Netflix and Disney+

It’s available on pre-built O2 options that are available for as low as £34.47 a month with a £10 upfront payment.

This plan offers 2GB of monthly data, but if you’re willing to push your budget the 12T Pro 5G is also available for £40.37 a month (and £10 upfront) which offers 20GB of monthly data. This option also includes three months of access to Apple Music entirely for free.

Just bear in mind that these prices based on a 36-month deal, unlike the typical 24-month contracts other mobile operators like EE provide.

You can customise any pre-built plan on the O2 website so it runs for the typical 24-month contract length instead, as well as tweak the amount of monthly 5G data you get as well as the amount you will have to pay upfront.

The Xiaomi 12T Pro 5G launched in the UK on Thursday, October 20 and is another impressive Android handset from the world’s third biggest smartphone makers.

The headline attraction is undoubtedly the 200MP main sensor on the rear camera, but the new Xiaomi phone is packed full of other great features such as an AMOLED display with 120Hz refresh rate, a whopping 5,000mAh battery that provides 120W charging (which lets you get to 100 percent battery in 19 minutes) and is powered by the top-of-the line Snapdragon 8 Plus Gen 1 chip.

The Xiaomi F2 TV that is included with this TV for free at O2, meanwhile, first launched earlier this year for £399.

However, it recently got a price tag which brought it down to £299.

This telly supports HDR10 and comes with a remote that features shortcut buttons for Netflix, Prime Video and Disney+ and is very similar in design to the remotes you get with Amazon’s popular Fire TV devices.
