Android: WhatsApp on Android is reportedly getting this ‘iPhone-like’ menu design – Times of India

Popular messaging app WhatsApp recently introduced the Chat Lock feature which allowed users to lock and password protect individual chats. Now it appears that the Meta-owned platform is working on a redesigned message menu for Android users.
As reported by WABetaInfo, the website which tracks the changes in WhatsApp build, the messaging app tweaks the interface of the app for Android users. The report adds that the company is bringing the interface inspired by its iOS app. Available for some Android beta testers, WhatsApp will soon get a new user interface with a bottom navigation bar.
WABetaInfo also shared a screenshot of the upcoming feature. In the screenshot shared above you can notice the redesigned menu which shows up when selecting a message. Along with the redesigned message menu, the company is also working on introducing a bottom navigation bar same as its iOS app.

WhatsApp blocked 36 lakh accounts in India
During the nationwide launch of the Department of Telecom’s (DoT) Sanchar Saathi website, Union telecom minister Ashwini Vaishnaw disclosed that WhatsApp has taken strict action against scam calls by banning approximately 3.6 million mobile connections. In response to inquiries regarding the government’s efforts to combat call-related fraud on WhatsApp, Vaishnaw stated that the app’s parent company, Meta, has committed to deactivating services associated with mobile numbers involved in fraudulent activities.
In a recent statement, WhatsApp announced its substantial enhancement of artificial intelligence (AI) and machine learning (ML) systems with the aim of significantly reducing fake call occurrences.
