Andy Murray has acknowledged that he took a “ruthless” approach to his match against Ryan Peniston, where the three-time major champion wrapped things up quickly to kickstart his Wimbledon campaign.
“I didn’t start the match how I would have liked but it’s always different conditions playing under the roof, especially past few days been quite breezy and cool conditions,” Murray said.
“But as the match went on, unforced errors I cut them out and I was pretty ruthless at beginning of second and third sets.
“I got ahead and did well and I was pleased with everything apart from the beginning.”
