Apple AirPods get massive price cut on Flipkart – Times of India

Apple has launched the 3rd generation of AirPods at a price of Rs 18,500 and with the launch, the company also slashed the prices of the 2nd generation AirPods. After the price cut the 2nd generation earbuds are priced at Rs 12,900. Although the company has officially discontinued the original AirPods which were launched back in 2016, the TWS earbuds are still available for sale in the market. As a part of its Diwali sale, Flipkart is offering the 1st-gen AirPods at a reduced price of Rs 8,999.
The price of the earbuds can be slashed further as SBI Bank is giving Rs 1,500 cashback to credit card users on orders of Rs 5000 and above. With the AirPods, the buyers will also get 6 months of free Apple Music and Gaana Plus subscription. Buyers can also get 5% unlimited cashback by using the Flipkart Axis Bank Credit Card.
The 1st generation AirPods look similar to the 2nd generation model but lack a wireless charging case. The earbuds are powered by an ultra-low power W1 chip and are claimed to have a music playback time of 5 hours. With the charging case, the battery life of the earbuds can be extended to 24 hours. You can pair the earbuds with all your Apple devices with just one touch and they can easily switch from a call on your iPhone to listening to music on your Apple Watch automatically.
