apple: Apple Watch Series 7 does not support this feature in India – Times of India

Apple Watch Series 7 went on sale in India recently. Among other features Watch Series 7 is designed to offer faster charging. However, as per an update on Apple’s support page, the smartwatch will not support fast charging in India right now. “Fast charging is not available in Argentina, India, or Vietnam,” says the company’s support page. The reason for the same is not clear. Apple has not officially said anything on why the feature is currently not available in India. It is also not known if the support for fast charge will be rolled out later in the country.
As per Apple, with fast charge, Apple Watch Series 7 battery level can go from 0 percent to 80 percent in about 45 minutes. Fast charging requires an Apple USB-C Magnetic Fast Charging Cable. This cable has aluminum around the magnetic charger and a USB-C connector. Users also need one of these power adapters:

Apple launched Watch Series 7 along with iPhone 13 series on September 14. The non-cellular variant of Apple Watch Series 7 is available at starting price of Rs 41,900 while the Watch Series 7 GPS + Cellular version is priced at Rs 50,900 onwards. Apple Watch Series 7 comes in 41mm and 45mm variants. Apple Watch Series 7 sports Always-On Retina display with 1.7mm thin bezels. It comes in two sizes — 41mm and 45mm. The new Apple Watch runs on watchOS 8 out-of-the-box. Apple Watch Series 7 supports blood oxygen (SpO2) tracking just like Apple Watch Series 6. Apple claims that Series 7 is its most-durable watch built yet. It is claimed to be crack-resistant along with IP6X-rated build and WR50 water resistance rating. The battery life, as per Apple, is 18 hours, same as Apple Watch Series 6, Apple Watch SE and Apple Watch Series 3. Apple Watch Series 7 runs on S7 chip with 64-bit dual-core processor.
