Apple: ‘Decoding’ Apple’s new WWDC email to developers – Times of India

Apple’s first big event of the year 2023 is less than a week away. The company is set to hold its annual developers conference – Worldwide Developers Conference (WWDC 2023) – next week. As the day nears, Apple has reportedly sent a reminder email to developers about WWDC 2023. The email to developers sent on Tuesday (May 30) is titled “One week until WWDC23” seems to be a reminder that a major event in the Apple developer calendar is set to take place soon. It informs developers about WWDC2023’s dates, time of keynote, and has a link to add the event to their calendar.
The not-so-subtle hints in the email
The email also has what may be called a not-so-subtle hint about the company’s long-rumored MR headset. It includes the tagline for the event, “Code new worlds.” This could be asking developers to create a new “world” in their apps. Apple could also be telling developers to make new virtual worlds. Also, above the main text in the email is the Apple logo, which appears to be a stylized bubble-like graphic seemingly like in-motion and AR Easter eggs.
Apple is expected to showcase its AR/VR headset at the event as well as the OS that may power it at this year’s WWDC. Reports suggest that the upcoming headset could run “xrOS” as its operating system. While Apple is sure to introduce apps that are made specifically for the headset, it is also likely to make it easier for developers to convert their own apps to work with the headset. These may be both new as well as existing apps.

WWDC 2023 dates and more
The annual WWDC conference is known to be a software event. Apple 2023 starts June 5 and will run through June 9. The keynote is set for June 5 and is most likely to be delivered by Apple CEO Tim Cook. Apple unveils its latest operating system updates and software changes at the event dedicated to developers. However, there are times when Apple sneaks in hardware or service updates as well.
