Apple: Four years, three stores, two cities: Apple’s retail plans for India – Times of India

Less than a month after Apple opened its first stores in India, reports have emerged about the next locations. A report by Bloomberg suggests that there are three more stores in the next few years on Apple’s radar in India. The report also reveals the global retail plans that Apple may have in the works.
Delhi, Mumbai: The chosen ones
According to the report, Apple may not explore other cities for its next three stores in India, which suggests that New Delhi and Mumbai will once again open their doors to the company. The report suggests that two more stores will come up in Mumbai and another one in New Delhi. Speculated locations have also been revealed by Bloomberg. In Mumbai, the two stores could come up in Worli and Borivali areas in the city. In New Delhi, DLF Promenade, Vasant Kunj is expected to get the second Apple Store in the capital.
Not just that but the report also reveals the expected timelines of these stores. The rumoured store in Borivali, Mumbai is expected to open sometime in June 2025 whereas the one in Worli sometime in November 2027. The proposed DLF Promenade store is rumoured to open sometime in March 2026.
A lot of speculation — more like hope — was around Apple opening a store in Bengaluru. However, if the report by Bloomberg is to be believed then other cities including Bengaluru may have to wait for close to five years to get an Apple Store.
The report also highlights Apple’s global retail expansion plans. Apple, as per the report, could rework or relocate a total of 13 stores in North America, nine stores in Europe, and six stores in Asia. Overall, it is expected that in the next four years, Apple will work on 53 new, relocated or revamped stores.
