This new feature — called the Hover mode — allows users to hover their Apple Pencil over the iPad Pro’s display to expand content, widgets, apps and more. The new Hover mode is available only on the 2022 iPad Pro and will be available only when the tablet is paired with the second-generation Apple Pencil.
How does the new Hover mode workThe new iPad Pro can detect electromagnetic signals transmitted by the tip of the 2nd-gen Apple Pencil even when it is placed 12mm away from the display. Apple mentions that the M2 chip can instantly interpret these signals and can determine the position of the Apple Pencil in three dimensions.

The Cupertino-based tech giant has also explained that the new hover feature will help users to find the exact spot where their Apple Pencil is touching the display. This will increase users’ precision while writing, sketching and creating illustrations. This feature will also expand Apple Watch apps and widgets on the Home Screen
2022 iPad Pro and Apple Pencil 2: Price and availability
The 2nd-gen Apple Pencil is available on the online Apple Store at Rs 11,900. Meanwhile, the M2-powered iPad Pro is now available for pre-order and will start shipping on October 28. The base model of the latest iPad Pro starts at Rs 81,900.
