Apple iPhone 14 Pro specifications tipped; much likely to have different specs
For all the Apple fans out there, a tonne of new information has come to light thanks to the courtesy of popular Apple analyst Ming-Chi Kuo about the upcoming iPhone 14 series, the distinction between non-Pro and Pro models, and more.
Kuo hints at varied specifications on Apple iPhone 14 series
According to analyst Ming-Chi Kuo, Apple is expected to roll out iPhone 14 Pro and iPhone 14 Pro Max with the Apple A16 Bionic chipset. Although this goes without saying, what’s interesting is that Apple is likely to keep using a year-old Apple A14 Bionic chipset on non-Pro models i.e. iPhone 14 and 14 Max. This will be the first time Apple will draw a line of distinction between its flagship series after it did the same back in 2013 with the iPhone 5S and 5C.
Kuo further added that Apple will upgrade the RAMs on all the four models to 6GB where the Pro variants will be using LPDDR5 while the non-Pro models will get standard LPDDR4X RAMs.
Next up, Kuo hasn’t mentioned iPhone 14 mini, and instead, he hinted at an iPhone 14 Max with a 6.7-inch panel which is a non-Pro model. This could potentially mean iPhone 14 mini is unlikely to make the cut. Also, Kuo mentioned earlier that there’s an iPhone with a large display and a cheaper price tag in the making so it could be iPhone 14 Max after all.
There is a tonne of other information around the upcoming series including a dual pill-shaped notch on the Pro models while the non-Pro models will retain the same notch. Of course, there’s still a lot of time before Apple releases the series this fall. If previous trends are followed, iPhone 14 series will be heavily guarded but also one of the most rumored series of this year as well.
