A tipster, who goes by the name iHacktu ileaks, has claimed that Apple will showcase the iPhone 14 series on September 13. He further adds that the 2022 iPhones will go on pre-order starting September 16, just three days after the official launch. The tipster forecasts shipping date for the upcoming iPhones to be September 23.
The tipster, however, has not shared any credible source for the information. The fact that Apple usually launches iPhones on the second Tuesday of September makes September 13 appear as the likely unveiling date. But shipping and pre-order dates can be taken with a pinch of salt.
Apple iPhone 14 series likely specs
Based on previous leaks and rumours, the Apple iPhone 14 series is likely to introduce a new pill-shaped notch design that will house Face ID setup along with a separate punch-hole for selfie camera.
Some reports also claim that the non-Pro models of Apple iPhone 14 will not run on Apple’s latest chipset — A16 Bionic. Instead, Apple will offer the older generation chipset with the regular models. This is something, if true, will be a first timer.
Also, like the iPhone 13 series, the iPhone 14 series is expected to include four models. However, this time there may not be an iPhone 14 with ‘mini’ moniker. Instead, the company is expected to introduce a ‘Max’ model in the iPhone 14 series.
