Apple iPhone XR officially discontinued in India, but you can still buy it here | 91mobiles.com

With the launch of the new iPhone 13 models, Apple has dropped the prices of the iPhone 12 series in India. The company also tends to remove a few older models from its lineup whenever a new iPhone arrives. This time, the iPhone XR has been dropped along with the iPhone 12 Pro and iPhone 12 Pro Max. Apple’s current lineup now includes the iPhone SE, iPhone 11, iPhone 12, iPhone 12 mini, and the iPhone 13 series. These iPhones range from as low as Rs 39,900 to as high as Rs 1,79,900. The iPhone XR has been a popular model in the country as it hit the sweet spot in terms of price and value.

You can still buy iPhone XR in India

Apple may have officially discontinued the iPhone XR, but you can still buy this iPhone if you’re looking for an affordable option. You won’t be able to purchase the iPhone XR from the official Apple India website anymore, but the device is still up for grabs on Amazon and Flipkart. You will also be able to find the iPhone XR at authorised Apple retail stores in the country.

On Flipkart, the iPhone XR price in India starts from Rs 42,999 for the base 64GB storage model. This makes it the second most affordable iPhone out there after the iPhone SE.

Should you buy iPhone XR?

The iPhone XR is still a great entry-level iPhone for those looking to enter the Apple ecosystem without paying a premium. The phone is powered by the A12 Bionic chipset and it ships with iOS 13. The iPhone XR is compatible with iOS 15, so you will be safe as far as software support goes.

With the iPhone XR, you get an edge-to-edge display with a notch, so the design is similar to the iPhone 11. That said, the iPhone XR is now three years old, which means you won’t get the kind of performance that the iPhone 11, iPhone 12, iPhone 13, or even the entry-level iPhone SE deliver.
