At the Far out event in Cupertino, Apple unveiled Watch Series 8 with new features for women’s health. The Watch Series 8. The Apple Watch Series 8 will be available in four colour variants — Midnight, Starlight, Silver and Product Red. For the stainless steel Watch Series 8 variant, users can get three colours — Silver, Gold and Graphite.

The Watch Series 8 has an always-on edge-to-edge display and looks very similar to the Watch Series 7. The Watch Series 8 comes with advanced features for tracking women’s health. The Watch Series 8 has a new temperature sensor which will tell women when they are ovulating. The temperature sensor is placed just under the display. Apple claims that the temperature sensor monitors temperature every five seconds at night.
Apple Watch Series 8 also brings the new crash detection feature which can detect if a user has been in a car accident and automatically alert emergency services. It’s not clear whether this feature will come to India or not. Apple has improved the gyroscope and accelerometer sensors to get accurate crash data. Crash detection works only when a user is driving a car.
It has sleep tracking, and cycle tracking among other health features. Like other Apple Watch models, it also has ECG monitoring and more. Apple Watch Series 8 also comes with international roaming for the first time.
Apple Watch Series 8 comes with 18-day battery life, which doesn’t seem an upgrade on previous models. However, for the first time, Apple is introducing low power mode with the Apple Watch which can give up to 36 hours of battery life. Low power mode will be available on Watch Series 4 and later models]running watchOS 9.
