Apple may introduce this big difference between iPhone 15 Pro and 15 Pro Max

Apple will launch the iPhone 15 series at its September fall event later this year. The series, similar to the past few years, may have four models – the affordable iPhone 15 and iPhoner 15 Plus, and the Pro models with advanced features – iPhone 15 Pro and iPhone 15 Pro Max. Big change coming with the 2023 iPhone series is the replacement of the lightning port with a USB Type-C charging port.

But, the surprise does not end there. According to a new rumour, Apple may limit the periscope lens on the iPhone 15 Pro Max model this year. Leaskter Unknownz21 says that it has ‘finally received independent confirmation of this: Periscope lens will be available exclusively on the iPhone 15 Pro Max’.

Generally, the Pro variant varies from the Pro Max model in terms of battery life and display size. Almost all other features remain the same. But this may change in 2023 with the Pro model skipping periscope lens.

Reliable Apple analyst in a blog post recently also stated that Apple may limit the periscope lens to the iPhone 15 Pro Max this year. It will come to the iPhone 16 Pro next year.

Meanwhile, a MacRumours report has recently suggested that the low-end iPhone 15 and iPhone 15 Plus models may come with an updated 48MP camera lens on the rear. To give you a context, the current iPhone 14 and iPhone 14 Plus phones have a 12MP sensor on the back, while the iPhone 14 Pro and 14 Pro models come with a 48MP rear camera.

The report quotes Jeff Pu, an analyst at Hong Kong-based investment firm Haitong International Securities who says that the 48MP sensor on iPhone 15 and iPhone 15 Plus phones will use a new three-stacked sensor that can capture more light for improved image quality.
