Apple iPhone SE 2022 was recently launched by the company during an online event. The device is Apple’s most affordable 5G smartphone. The iPhone comes with a new chipset, longer battery life and camera improvements. During the ‘Peek Performance’ special event, Apple advertised almost all the features of the smartphone but it did not mention that iPhone SE 3 also features more RAM.
As per a report by MacRumors, developer Moritz Sternemann has revealed that the third-generation iPhone SE 2022 features 4GB of RAM. For context, the second-generation iPhone SE that was launched in 2020 had 3GB of RAM. The developer sourced the details about the RAM from strings within the Xcode 13.3 Release Candidate update that was rolled out by the company following its special event.
For those who are unaware, similar strings in Xcode have revealed the RAM details of iPhone and iPads launched in the last few years. The increased RAM and the latest A15 bionic chipset with 5G connectivity will help the smartphone to run heavy apps and games easily. The second generation iPhone SE runs on A13 Bionic chipset with 4G connectivity.
The Apple iPhone SE will be available for pre-order starting 6:30 pm IST tomorrow (March 11). The deliveries to the costumes will begin next week from March 18.
Apple iPhone SE 2022 specifications
Apple iPhone SE 2022 features a 4.7-inch screen, same as the 2020 model. Under the hood, it is powered by A15 Bionic chipset, the same that runs on the iPhone 13 series. The device will be available in 64GB, 128GB, and 256GB models. It supports sub-6GHz 5G connectivity
When it comes to camera, the iPhone SE retains the same single 12-megapixel rear camera and 7-megapixel selfie camera. However, the phone gains some software-based photography improvements, thanks to the A15 Bionic processor.
The 2022 model of iPhone SE maintains the IP67 rating for water resistance, same as the 2020 model. It will be available in three colour options – Starlight, Moonlight and Product Red.
