Apple to unveil new MacBook Pros and AirPods at ‘Unleashed’ event on October 18 – Smartprix

Apple fans have another reason to behold. The Cupertino giant has scheduled its second launch event of the season on October 18. Apple will live stream the upcoming virtual event on October 18 at 10:00am PDT (10:30pm in India).

The company has sent out media invites featuring Apple logo formed of light beams in a black backdrop with the word “Unleashed”. If rumors are to be believed next-generation M1X processor will be announced. The M1X silicon is said to be the successor to the M1 chip and is expected to take the Macbooks to new heights in terms of performance.

Coming to the devices, Apple is believed to unveil MacBook Pro in two different versions of 14-inch and 16-inch display sizes. The leaks suggest that the manufacturer will borrow the same mini LED panel it is using in 12.9-inch iPad Pro. It will be interesting to see how Apple will manage to cope with the chip crisis going around the globe.

The next big change in Apple’s plan is to redesign the upcoming MacBook Pros with a flat-edged design similar to the iPad Pro. The company will bring the devices with improved connectivity features, more GPU cores, MagSafe charging, HDMI port, SD card slot, and no touch bar.

Moreover, Apple is also anticipated to launch a redesigned Mac Mini and third-generation AirPods Pro. Once official, the devices will soon hit the market starting from the US for sure.
