apple watch series 7: Here’s how much Apple Watch Series 7 may cost in India – Times of India

Apple Watch Series 7 is set to go on sale this month. While the sale date is still being speculated upon, the newest smartwatch from Apple has been listed on Flipkart at a starting price tag of Rs 41,900. The model of the smartwatch that’s been listed on the e-commerce website is the ‘Apple Watch Series 7 GPS 41 mm Aluminium Case’. One important thing to note is that the Apple Watch Series 6 starts at Rs 40,900, so there doesn’t seem to be a huge price difference as per the Flipkart listing.
Some of the features the Apple Watch Series 7 has been advertised to come with are the inbuilt ECG to track your heartbeat, the call function, Always-On Display, SGHz Wi-Fi, U1 Ultra Wideband chip, checking out daily activity trends on your iPhone via the fitness apps, and a claimed battery life of 18 hours on a single charge.

Apple claims that the Watch Series 7 is the most durable Apple Watch to date with a “crack-resistant” front crystal, IP6X-rated for dust resistance and “swimproof with WR50 water-resistant”.
A previous report by MacRumours claimed that the Watch Series 7 will come with a secret 60.5GHz wireless connection capability to transfer data. If it’s true, this would be the first time an Apple product is going to launch with such a feature.
As per the FCC filings, the 60.5GHz transmitter requires a “proprietary Wireless Serial Dock” with a corresponding module for data transfer. This external dock would be needed to activate the data transmission on the Apple Watch and hence, make the feature work. To be able to activate the 60.5GHz wireless connection for transferring data, the Apple Watch would need to be placed over this magnetic dock which also has a corresponding 60.5GHz module. It may be the case that the feature is only reserved to be used by Apple employees and not by the general consumer.
