Arsenal ace Kieran Tierney issues injury update and makes Arteta plea

Arsenal star Kieran Tierney has reassured Gunners fans that he’s not injured, despite taking a late knock during his side’s Europa League victory over Zurich on Thursday night. And the Scotland left-back has told manager Mikel Arteta that he wants to play every match after scoring the only goal of the game against the Swiss side.

Tierney has fallen out of favour in the Premier League and has started just three of his side’s 12 top-flight matches this season after Arteta signed Oleksandr Zinchenko from Manchester City in the summer. But Tierney has been named in the starting line-up in all six of the north Londoners’ Europa League matches this campaign.

And the defender found the back of the net after 17 minutes as he struck a rasping effort into the bottom corner from the edge of the area. The goal proved decisive as Arsenal booked their place in the last 16 of the competition after securing top spot in Group A. And after the match Tierney gave his thoughts on the match.
