Arsenal have four players Roma might accept in Tammy Abraham swap deal
Arsenal are set to go after Roma striker Tammy Abraham once again this summer if they secure a top-four Premier League finish. The Gunners were keen to land the ace from Chelsea last year but missed out on him after he opted to move to Italy.
Abraham has been in scintillating form since linking up with Jose Mourinho in Serie A and has found the back of the net 24 times in all competitions this season. Arsenal will need to stump up a lot of cash to prise the 24-year-old away from the Stadio Olimpico. And Express Sport takes a look at four players the Italian club might accept as part of a potential swap deal.
Ainsley Maitland-Niles
Ainsley Maitland-Niles is already a familiar face among Roma chiefs as he’s currently on loan at the club. The 24-year-old moved to Italy in January and has been utilised on either side of midfield and at right-back by Mourinho.
But the versatile player has lost his place in recent weeks and has failed to get on the pitch in Roma’s last eight Serie A matches. So Mourinho may in fact decide he doesn’t want to sign the player on a permanent basis. But should the former Chelsea boss enquire about the star, Mikel Arteta is unlikely to stand in his way.

With Arsenal’s defence showing huge improvements this season, Arteta would probably be relaxed about allowing Mari to move to Roma. So the 28-year-old is another player, the Gunners could offer the Italian giants to smooth over a deal for Abraham.
Rob Holding
Rob Holding was a regular starter for Arsenal last season. But following the arrival of Ben White, the defender can no longer command a place in the Gunners team. Arteta will be keen to hold onto the 26-year-old as he provides good cover for Arsenal’s first-choice centre-backs.
But if Roma want the ace in part exchange for Abraham, it could be a sacrifice worth making for Gunners chiefs.
